Our Services
Donegal Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary hospital. We provide routine preventive care for dogs and cats. Dental care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, radiography and HomeAgain microchips are also offered. On site is a laboratory and pharmacy. We dispense Hill's Science Diet foods, flea and tick topicals, heartworm preventatives and dental supplies.
Preventative Care
Annual wellness exams keep your pet healthy and provide early diagnosis of serious health issues. As well as a physical exam, our veterinarians recommend checking for internal and external parasites. Vaccinations are also part of our preventative care. Flea, heartworm and tick preventatives are available for purchase.
Surgery
Orthopedic Repair of Broken Bone
Donegal Animal Hospital provides our patients with routine surgeries such as spaying and neutering, elective surgeries like growth removals and cherry eye repairs, and orthopedic surgeries for setting broken bones, bone plating , pinning and cruciate ligament repairs. During surgeries our patients are monitored by our trained technicians with the latest equipment for both vital signs and anesthesia. A warming blanket under the patient helps maintain body temperature. Patients are monitored after surgery to ensure safe recovery
Dental Care
Dental checkups provide a window into your pet's health. Periodontal disease is the most prevalent disease among dogs and cats. According to the American Venterinary Dental Society, an astounding 80% of dogs and cats show signs of oral disease by age three.

At Donegal we offer examinations, digital dental x-rays, ultra-sonic cleaning and
polishing, hand scaling and surgical extractions.
Pet toothpaste, toothbrushes and oral rinses are available for purchase.
Whether recovering from surgery and dentistry or hospitalized for close monitoring, our patients are kept in comfortable cages with plenty of soft blankets. We have a separate room for cats, a room for smaller dogs and an area with large kennel runs for large dogs.
